Periodontal regeneration: is it still a goal in clinical periodontology?

چکیده
In the last decades, Periodontal Regeneration has been one of most discussed topics in Periodontics, attracting attention researchers and clinicians. This can be justified by evident continuous progress observed field, characterized a better understanding biological mechanisms involved, significant improvement operative technical principles, emergence wide range biomaterials available for this purpose. Together, these aspects put theme much evidence search functional esthetic therapeutic solutions periodontal tissue destruction. Despite evolution, regeneration may challenging require clinician to carefully evaluate each case before making decision. With critical reassessment clinical preclinical literature, present study aimed discuss topic answer whether is still goal periodontology. The main involved probability success or failure regenerative approaches were considered. A greater focus was given intrabony furcation defects, conditions with predictability. Aspects such as more appropriate materials/approaches, long-term benefits their justification higher initial cost condition. general, deep defects associated residual pockets buccal/lingual class II lesions have predictable clinically relevant results. Careful selection (based on patient defect characteristics) excellent maintenance are essential ensure success.

Periodontal regeneration in clinical practice.
The regeneration or restitution of lost supporting tissue has always been considered the ideal objective of periodontal therapy. However, attempts to convert this intention into solid clinical practice can become tremendously complex, the results of which are very different from the original intention. The aim of this article is to offer an up-to-date, general perspective on periodontal regener...

Periodontitis is a multifactorial disease that causes tooth loss. The complex pathogenesis of periodontitis implies the involvement of a susceptible host and a bacterial challenge. Many studies have provided a valuable contribution to understanding the genetic basis of periodontal disease, but the specific candidate genes of susceptibility are still unknown. In fact, genome-wide studies and scr...

متن کاملAdvanced tissue engineering in periodontal Regeneration
The old wishes of people were to regenerate lost tissues of periodontium that this fact is achieved by gen and cell therapy .Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammation around the tooth by microbes that causes destruction of supporting structure of tissue of tooth such as alveolar bone, cementum and periodontal ligament. For treatment of periodontal diseases we can use the biomaterials which ...
متن کاملFever in myocardial infarction: is it still common, is it still predictive?
BACKGROUND Before introduction of reperfusion therapy, fever was frequently observed in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Little is known about this symptom during the widespread use of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI). The aim of this study was to assess, whether body temperature is a predictor of impaired left ventricular systolic function in patients with AMI....
